Go to editonthespot.com and click Log In / Sign up. You are redirected to app.eventcut.ai, where you enter your email address and password to create an account or sign in.
After signing in, you choose the organisation you want to work in. Each organisation is a separate workspace with its own projects, brand kits and members.
Dark mode is the default because Eventcut is designed for use in dark environments such as venues, theatres, or control rooms. Use the toggle in the top bar to switch to light mode at any time.
Your streaming usage for the month, active streams, total projects and recent events, plus shortcuts to Stream Keys, Upload Video and Projects.
Yes — 14 days from sign-up, with one default stream key and 6 hours of streaming. After that, upgrade to a Pro or Enterprise subscription to keep streaming and uploading.
10 hours of streaming or uploading per month, multiple stream keys, real-time monitoring of multiple projects, the full Workbench (segmentation, topics, clips, quotes, captions, titles), the organisation Brand Kit, reframing to portrait and square, and all standard integrations.
Add further subscriptions — each adds streaming time and stream keys for additional venues or stages.
Enterprise is seat-based, with an hourly usage rate applied to live event duration.
SRT ingest, user management with multi-tenancy and role-based permissions, Events containers scoped for end-clients, enterprise integrations (AWS S3, Wowza, Vimeo, YouTube, JWP, etc.), white labeling, hardware-device licensing, compliance (audit logs and GDPR), usage and billing dashboards, and dedicated account management.
Two Admin/Manager seats. Additional members are added at any time through Seat Licensing in Settings.
To delete your account, open Preferences on the top bar by clicking on your avatar and navigate to the bottom of the page to find the delete account button.
If you are the last admin of an organisation that still has other members, deletion is refused until another member is promoted to admin, so promote your replacement first.
Deleting your account permanently removes your account and your sign-in. This cannot be undone.
RTMPS on all plans. Enterprise plans can also use SRT — for low-latency remote contribution and for multi-camera setups such as interview or presentation modes (Beta).
No special equipment: a camera and a laptop able to run streaming software such as OBS, plus an internet connection, are enough. Any broadcast encoder works — hardware (NewTek, Blackmagic, AJA HELO) or software (OBS Studio, vMix, Wirecast).
Open Stream Keys, click Ingest Info on your key, and copy the streaming server URL and stream key into your encoder — in OBS: Settings → Stream → Service: Custom.
H.264 at 1920×1080, 25–60 fps, up to 8 Mbps, a 2-second keyframe interval, and AAC audio at 48 kHz stereo.
Yes. Use one stream key per room, stage or track, and rename each key (Stage 1, Stage 2, …) so operators can identify them at a glance. All projects can be monitored in parallel.
Yes — stream keys can be assigned to licensed hardware encoder devices, so each device always streams into a known key.
Use Reset on the key's row to invalidate it and issue a new one. You can also Disable a key temporarily.
Yes — use Assign Manager on the stream key to delegate its operation to a specific user (Enterprise).
Every stream key has a playback URL that can be pasted into any web browser to watch the incoming stream.
Open Users, enter their email address, select a role and click Add Member. They receive an email with access to the platform. (Full user management is an Enterprise feature.)
Admin (full control), Manager (technical director or production manager — assigned to events and stream keys, can invite editors and viewers), Editor (creates and extracts clips), Viewer (view, download and share only) and Speaker (lightweight role for runsheet speakers, used for one-click delivery).
Conference speakers: they receive the branded recording of their session and can create and extract social clips themselves, while Viewers can only view, download and share content created by managers.
The organisation's default logo, intro, outro and fonts. Branding is applied with one click at export time and can be overridden per event or per clip.
Logo: transparent PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB. Intro and outro: PNG image or MP4 video, up to 100 MB (images are auto-converted to a 3-second video). Fonts: TTF, OTF or WOFF2, up to 5 MB.
Yes — upload a custom font to the Brand Kit or choose from the platform fonts. Brand fonts are used for titles and captions.
Yes. Give the event its own Brand Kit (for example just a logo and a font), which overrides the organisation defaults for that event. You can also override branding per export with the Custom option.
No. Existing renders are preserved in each asset's Version History; re-export the asset to apply the new branding.
A named container that groups related projects (one per room, stage or session day) — used for sorting, per-event branding and, on Enterprise, scoping end-client access.
Open Settings → Integrations and connect your storage and publishing stack. Processed videos are then shared with one click, cloud-to-cloud, with no local download step. Pro includes Wowza, JW Player, YouTube and Google Drive; Enterprise adds Vimeo, Dropbox and SharePoint.
Yes — configure integrations on the client's event using their credentials, and exports for that event publish directly to their platforms.
New integrations are developed on demand for Enterprise clients.
The program of the day, allocated to a stream key (one venue or stage, per day). Eventcut uses it to pre-name segments and attach the right speakers to each session.
Runsheets → Create Runsheet: pick the stream key, upload your CSV (an export from your event-management tool is fine), let the AI normalise it, review and edit the rows inline, then confirm. You can come back and edit it at any time.
Anything that isn't a recorded session — arrivals, networking, breaks and after-event items.
Because every row carries its speaker's email, each finished session or clip can be sent directly to its presenter in one click — even for fast formats like a pitching competition with 17 pitches in an hour.
Automatically, as soon as an encoder starts broadcasting or an upload starts processing. Projects are named with the stream key prefix plus date and time, and can be renamed or allocated to an event at any time.
The integrated editing view of a project: live transcript (top left), playback preview (bottom left), colour-coded waveform timeline (bottom) and the Segments / Topics / Clips / Quotes tabs (right) — all interlinked and updating every few seconds while the stream is live.
Four interlinked ways: drag the block edges on the timeline (use the zoom slider for frame accuracy), search and click a word in the transcript, scrub the playback, or type exact timecodes on the row.
With the runsheet applied and sessions detected automatically, checking and adjusting the boundaries of a six-hour day typically takes about 10 minutes.
A view inside each project (next to the Timeline toggle) that collects everything you have created — rendered segments, topics, clips and quotes — as preview cards you can play, share or re-export.
Yes — double-click any word in the transcript panel to edit the captions before exporting.
When the stream ends, Eventcut analyses the full transcript and proposes short-form clips on the Clips tab, based on topic summarisation. You can also create clips manually on the fly — even while the stream is still live — by selecting text in the real-time transcript.
16:9 original, 9:16 portrait and 1:1 square. Clips under six minutes are reframed automatically, so portrait and square exports are one click.
Extensively: font, position, size, text and background colors, max words per line, max lines, animation speed, highlighting of the actively spoken word, borders, and adaptive contrast for footage that alternates between dark and light. Set the style once — it is remembered for every new clip.
The Title feature adds the clip's title as a title card at the start or as an overlay, with settings for position, card duration, font and size. Tip: for a bespoke per-session title card, drop the card into the Custom intro slot and enable Intro.
Per rendered version: download it, push it with one click to a connected integration (for example as a YouTube draft), send it by email (for example to the session's speaker from the runsheet), or grab the transcription. Every version is kept in Version History with its own share and delivery actions.
One click scans the entire recording — even a full day — and ranks high-confidence quotable lines on the Quotes tab and timeline. Use Generate More for further suggestions, fine-tune the in/out points, and export with the same branding options as clips. Auto-Quote does the same within a single segment, such as one keynote or panel.
A minimum-length filter to drop too-short segments, Combine & Export to merge several segments into one video, a per-segment title card, AI Lock to stop automatic updates from changing a finalised segment, and keyword search across the transcription to create clips on the fly.
Yes. Open Upload, choose the file, name the project and allocate a stream key. Keep the page open while it uploads (you can keep working in another tab). Transcription and segments appear within minutes and grow as the timeline extends — exactly like a live stream, and in parallel with live streams.
Click Support (bottom right of every page) to open the EventCut Support assistant — an AI chat trained on the platform. When needed, it escalates to a human technician and opens a ticket for you, including for feature requests. You can also tune push and in-app notifications (stream started/ended, processing complete, clip or segment detected, render complete, billing and usage alerts) in Notification Settings.
